Specific Products

Please take this as a basic introduction: for specifying, please check with NBT first. Please note that Baumit Lime products are not only for Thermoplan or Pavatex systems; they are suitable wherever a Lime product has been specified.

External Basecoats:

  • Masonry: MP69: onto all masonry including Thermoplan but not cast concrete. LL66: onto all masonry except cast concrete and highly insulated Thermoplan
  • MC55W: onto cast concrete, paintwork (where solid) and building repairs. Requires testing of non standard, variable or loose backgrounds (mesh pull off test). Also may well require mesh in basecoat.
  • LS62: plinth render

Internal Plasters:

  • Lime options are RK 39 or RK70. RK 39 can only go onto dense masonry (concrete blocks and brick). RK 70 is the lime equivalent of MC55W so good for cast concrete, paintwork, and building repairs.
  • RK70 can also be used as a lime plinth render.

Onto Pavatex Diffutherm Systems:

  • Diffutherm: MC55W on Diffutherm boards, with mesh in inner layer
  • HM50 on XPS boards below plinth External Topcoats:

Render Top-Coats (on all Baumit base coats and substrates except where noted):

  • EFP 007: Grain size 0.7mm. Very smooth finish. Not for Diffutherm and not for exposed areas (grain is too small)
